Research and writing
The Discover Eastover Editorial Desk
Editorial team
The editorial desk researches, writes, and maintains every page on this site. It is a small team working the same few square miles repeatedly rather than a content agency producing neighborhood pages at volume.
Every factual claim on the site is traced to a primary source — Mecklenburg County POLARIS parcel records, the Charlotte Unified Development Ordinance, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools assignment data, Canopy MLS market statistics, or the institution being described. Where a number moves, we say so and tell you where to re-check it.
First-hand experience
- Walked and photographed every street inside the Eastover plat, block by block, across multiple seasons
- Read the recorded 1927 E.C. Griffith plat and subsequent parcel splits in Mecklenburg County records
- Sat in on Charlotte tree-ordinance and UDO permitting conversations for infill projects in the 28207 corridor
- Eaten, shopped, and parked at every business named on the dining, shopping, and things-to-do pages

Real estate and construction review
Nick Peters
Broker and builder principal · Peters & Associates
Nick Peters reviews every page on this site that touches price, contract mechanics, construction cost, or permitting. He leads Peters & Associates on the brokerage side and Peters Custom Homes on the construction side, which means the same person who advises on what a house is worth also knows what it costs to fix.
That dual vantage point is unusual and it is the reason this guide can describe renovation economics, teardown math, and land residual value in specific terms rather than generalities.
First-hand experience
- Represents buyers and sellers in Eastover, Myers Park, Foxcroft, and the surrounding Charlotte estate market
- Builds and renovates estate-scale houses on tight, canopied interwar lots
- Negotiates North Carolina Offer to Purchase due-diligence and earnest-money terms in a low-inventory market
- Manages tree-protection, setback, and historic-context constraints through Charlotte permitting
