Platted in 1927 on land east of Providence Road, Eastover was laid out with generous lots, curving streets, and a shared understanding that houses here would be built once and kept. Nearly a century later, that bargain holds: Georgian and Colonial Revival brick, slate and copper, boxwood and ivy, under a canopy of willow oaks planted before the Second World War.
It is small — a few hundred houses between Providence, Randolph, and Wendover — and it does not turn over quickly. Which is precisely why it rewards knowing.
