Midtown

The greenway spine between Uptown and Eastover, and the low-maintenance option.

Midtown is what happens when a creek is uncovered, a mall is torn down, and a greenway is run through the middle of the city.

About Midtown

Midtown occupies the ground between Uptown, Elizabeth, and the Dilworth edge, organized around the Little Sugar Creek Greenway. The greenway's restoration replaced a culverted creek and a dying mall with a linear park that now runs continuously toward Freedom Park.

The result is Charlotte's most walkable close-in condominium market. Eastover residents use it constantly — for the greenway itself, for the shops at Metropolitan, and as the downsizing destination when a large historic house stops making sense.
